WHO IS THE MARKETING RESEARCH ANALYST?


The Marketing Research Analyst serves an integral role on the research team, aiding in key research activities. In this position, you will assist with multiple research projects, eventually owning components of, and entire research projects. You will work together with members of the research+ strategy team to distill key findings into actionable insights and executable strategy.


  • You possess an unquenchable passion for learning and understanding why consumers behave the way that they do.
  • You have a significant level understanding of research methodologies and relevant data analysis techniques and want to learn more about marketing research and digital marketing.
  • You are a self-starter that can organize details and help carry projects across the finish line working independently or collaboratively as a team.

In this role, you can expect to:


  • Assist with recruitment strategies and activities for sourcing and screening study participants
  • Contribute to the creation of appropriate instrumentation and protocols
  • Assist with the collection of research data e.g., focus groups, UX testing, surveys
  • Support with dissemination of research participation incentives
  • Support with transcription of audio files from interview sessions
  • Thematically code qualitative data
  • Distill raw qualitative and quantitative data into key insights
  • Perform competitor audits by analyzing landscape content, web functionality, digital performance
  • Share key insights along the research process with internal and external stakeholders and assist with the presentation of research to clients
  • Analyze heatmaps, user recordings, and testing responses
  • Partner with strategy team to inform appropriate consumer marketing efforts


WHAT DO YOU NEED?


  • Bachelor’s degree with coursework and interest in behavioral research
  • Foundational understanding of research methods, descriptive statistical analysis, and thematic coding
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to pull actionable insights from multiple inputs
  • Passion for understanding consumer behavior, and curiosity to further learning about research marketing and digital marketing
  • Skill and experience presenting effectively to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to successfully juggle multiple competing projects, priorities, and deadlines
  • Creativity, passion, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively and both give and receive feedback
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant technologies
